Rogers City to adjust major intersection

ROGERS CITY, Mich. — A more pedestrian friendly intersection comes to Rogers City.

The Council of Rogers City met Tuesday night. Members voted to remove the left turn lanes from the Erie and Third Street intersection.

They also voted to put a solid white line in the parking lane and add striping to the crosswalks for visibility.

Council member Joe Hefele said the council hopes this will make the heavy–traffic intersection safer for pedestrians, especially students.
