Risk of thunderstorms overnight, then cooler temperatures to follow

A complex of thunderstorms over northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin will move east, and bring a risk of thunderstorms overnight. There still could be a few spotty showers early Thursday, then we should see clearing skies Thursday afternoon-evening.

Temperatures warmed up to 81 degrees Wednesday in Alpena. Away from the shoreline, temperatures got even warmer, 83 degrees in West Branch and 84 degrees in Atlanta. Highs were cooler closer to the shoreline, 79 degrees in Oscoda and 77 degrees in Rogers City. Temperatures everywhere in Northeast Michigan will become cooler for the end of the week.

Probably wait on Thursday for outdoor activities because of a chance of showers early. Then it’ll become dry for the afternoon and evening. Friday looks spectacular, sunny all day. Be aware of a risk of thunderstorms Saturday morning and afternoon, that’ll be the part of the weekend to have an indoor plan. Sunday looks completely dry and perfect for outdoor activities.
