Planned protests expected at all 50 State Capitol Buildings
WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to an internal bulletin obtained by Yahoo News and the Associated Press, the FBI is warning of armed protests planned for all 50 State Capitol buildings on the day of inauguration.
Investigators also believe that insurgents plan on “storming” state capitol buildings as a result of Donald Trump’s election loss being finalized, and have alerted law enforcement authorities of credible threats of violence.
The Michigan State Police said in a statement that they are aware of the online promotion of upcoming marches on state capitols. They are in communication with both federal officials and other states, and say they will be prepared to handle any incidents at our Capitol.
Recently, after the insurgencies in Washington D.C., Michigan’s Capitol Commission has banned open carry in the state’s capitol buildings. Lansing Mayor Andy Schor has called on Governor Whitmer to deploy the state’s National Guard to the Capitol.
