MSP Warns Residents Of Meat Salesmen

Michigan State Police Alpena post, are warning residents of door–to–door meat salesmen.

There have been numerous encounters with these men around the city of Alpena.

Although it is not illegal to sell items door–to–door, Michigan State Police reminds the public to be careful.

“We here at the post would like the public to be aware of situations where people are going door to door selling items,” said Trooper Ashley Simpson, Michigan State Police- Alpena. “We want to make sure people protect themselves and their home and don’t allow door–to–door salesman in their house unattended, because you never know what their intentions are,” said Simpson.

Police also suggest if there’s ever a time you believe there’s suspicious activity, please ask them to leave and take time to observe what they look like and what they are driving.
