Michigan UIA extends benefit programs
LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency started issuing pandemic unemployment compensation payments and extended benefit programs this weekend.
Michigan UIA issued an additional $300 PUC supplement to approximately 365,000 people currently on regular state unemployment insurance. These payments are for eligible unemployment recipients currently receiving at least $1 a week.
Claimants do not need to take further action and the benefits will be paid automatically after they certify.
The supplement is payable from December 27 through March 13, 2021.
