Michigan Legislature Approves 23.2 Million Dollars Toward Groundwater Contamination

Michigan- The Michigan House and Senate has approved spending 23.2 million dollars toward groundwater contamination. The money is coming from a supplemental bill aimed at fighting PFA’s in ground water. Both the CRTC Air Base in Alpena and Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda have had problems with PFA’s. There have been 28 contamination sites in 14 communities. The money will be used to analyze samples, purchase equipment, and send tests to other states. The bill now heads to the the Governor’s desk for consideration.
