ALPENA, Mich— Alpena Public Schools has announced plans to reopen school for the fall semester. Parents and students will have the option to attend face to face instruction, participate in remote learning or to home school.
Face to face classes will resume in a traditional manner with social distancing restrictions. The school will also purchase face coverings and signage to assist students throughout the semester.
The online instruction will have courses in every subject taught by a certified online instructor who is not an APS teacher. The family partnership program is the home school option making the parent responsible for student learning.
Parents should note each option is an 18 week commitment. Informational sessions will be available at each local school starting this week.
