Local Charity Continues Tradition
ALPENA, Mich.– A local charity, Friends Together, held their annual Pig Roast on Sunday, accommodating for COVID–19.
The parking lot at the Fletcher Road Depot was bustling today as people came by for the annual Friends Together Pig Roast.
The get–together is one of the charity’s major fundraisers for the year, supporting their work assisting families struggling with cancer.
Indoor and outdoor seating continued from previous years, now with a mandatory mask policy and social distancing measures.
Another COVID–19 adaptation was the emphasis on take out, allowing people who might have otherwise skipped the event to still get food.
The event also featured a raffle and live entertainment.
