Local car dealership is giving back during the holidays

ALPENA, Mich. — Although the ownership is new, McInerny Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram of Thunder Bay are staying involved in the community.

Mike McInerny, who purchased the downtown car dealership earlier this year, still wants to bring the holiday spirit, even though his dealership can’t directly participate in the annual Christmas parade this year. The parade, which usually drives by the dealership, would normally contain cars from McInerny in their mobile display. This year, with the parade being a drive-thru, McInerny had other ideas.

Aside from the Christmas tree, the dealership is collecting gift donations for local charities. McInerny’s plans to decorate the ramp on the way up to the tree and create a scene where people will take photographs, enjoy the holidays, and donate to charity.
