HUBBARD LAKE, Mich. — A unique type of donation brings a new Hubbard Lake community building and library closer to reality.
Albert and Leonore Gonsler of Hubbard Lake donated over $244,000 of stock and distribution to the Community Foundation of Northeast Michigan.
According to the Gonslers, the idea of this project has been in the works for nearly 15 years and the Gonslers feel this will be a great asset for the community.
Marketing Communications Director for the Community Foundation, Christine Hitch, said this donation is incredibly generous and sets the tone for others when giving.
To date this donation is the single largest received in support of the building project.
The new facility will be built behind the current one in Hubbard Lake.
