Hillman Tigers run away with a win over Hale 62-9

HILLMAN, MI – The Hillman tigers basketball squad may have opened their season with a super close two point win, but since then, they’ve been on an absolute rampage. Their last two wins to wrap up 2021 were both by over 30 points and they now enter the new year 3–0 and at the top of the North Star League Little Dipper conference. Now tonight, Hillman hosted the Hale Eagles who are only 1–4 on the year and looking to bounce back from their last loss on Tuesday against St. Helen Charlton Heston.

This game would get out of hand really quickly with one of these teams pulling away immediately.

Senior Brady Firman works his way into the paint, through multiple defenders and lays it up and in for the Tigers.

Brady with the ball again. He goes up the middle, steps back, puts it up from mid range and sinks a nice shot.

Brady gets the ball on the wing, and then moves it to the right wing to Trenton Taratuta. Taratuta from three-point range, and he sinks the shot.

Hillman managed to hold Hale to just one point in the first quarter. Firman gets the ball to Adam Ruthko in the paint. He sends it back over to AJ Jones. he tries for three and gets it to go from beyond the arch.

Brady continuing to move the ball well. He finds the Junior Caleb Hively right in the paint to lay it up for an easy two points.

Brady Firman would make a great play to show how great he is at moving the ball. Brady lobs it up for Trenton Taratuta for the smooth alley-oop lay up. Just a great pass leading to an even better finish.

Hillman truly ran away with this game and never gave it up to the Eagles as Braylon Firman makes the great finger roll layup for the Tigers.

It was a blowout win for Hillman at home, the final score was 62–9. Hillman will host Au Gres–Sims on Monday while Hale looks to avoid four straight losses when they take on Posen Monday.
