Hillman Tigers Pounce on Fairview Eagles 3-0

HILLMAN, MI – The Hillman Tigers were in action hosting Fairview in volleyball. The home fans were excited to see if the Tigers continued their winning ways and they would be loud to show their support.

Starting off in set one it would be the Tigers who would show their claws in this one. Regina Morrison would get the ball set up just the way she wants it as she spikes it over to the Fairview side for the emphatic point for the Hillman Tigers.

Continuing on in set one Julia Taratuta keeps the play alive with a great dive. McKenna Klein would then just get it over the net. Hillman would be out of position for just a moment and the Tigers get the score. Hillman would take the first set 25-11.

Set two now and Fairview would try and move momentum in their favor. Jessie Ross sends it over and the ball would just get away from the Tigers. They couldn’t get in position to return, Fairview ends up with the point.

Now would the momentum  shift to the Eagles? The Tigers responded with an emphatic no! A beautiful spike from McKenna Klein would grab the Tiger the point. She kept the front of the net on lock in this one. Set two would also be won convincingly by Hillman again 25-11.

Third and possibly final set now and this was when Fairview started to try and chip away at the Tiger lead. Jaylynn Vanlacken got the great spike and she puts the ball exactly where no Tigers are for the point.

Despite being a much closer set, the Tigers would continue to pull away stopping any hope of a Fairview comeback. Regina Morrison off from the left spikes it to the right for the Tigers score.

This final play would do it as Nicole Barbeau would just tip the ball down over to the Eagles side, stuffing the return and getting the win for the Tigers.

Final score in this one is 3-0 Hillman and the Tigers move on to travel to Rogers City on Tuesdsay.
