Hillman man facing additional charge out of Montmorency County
MONTMORENCY COUNTY, Mich. — WBKB News previously reported on 33-year-old Steven Casebier who was wanted larceny, fleeing and eluding, and assaulting a police officer. He was arrested after it was discovered he was hiding out in his mother’s house.
Casebier is now facing an additional charge out of Montmorency County. A Michigan State trooper and Alpena County deputy arrived at an address in Hillman where they believed a stolen vehicle to be. They located two stolen Jeep Wranglers out of Alpena County and noticed parts from the vehicles were being used on other jeeps on the premises. The property was holding around 50 vehicles at the time.
The report was then turned over to the Montmorency prosecutor’s office. Casebier faces the original charges in Alpena County, and now faces an additional felony charge out of Montmorency for Operating a Chop Shop. He has been released on a $25,000 cash surety bond.
