Gas prices on the rise in Michigan
ALPENA, Mich. — With more motorists on the road, you may have noticed the jump in gas prices. AAA provided us with data for the sudden increase.
According to the Energy Information Administration, demand for gas grew from 7.3 million to 7.5 last week.
Spokesperson for AAA Auto Club, Adrienne Woodland, said the Michigan state average rose above $2.00 per gallon.
Michigan drivers are now paying $2.05 per gallon for regular unleaded which is 34 cents more than last time this month.
Gas prices are up 9 cents compared to last week and Woodland says we can expect prices to continue to rise.
