Few showers this evening; Breezy and clearing Friday

A few showers are on the horizon this evening, progressing from west to east across the state. After these showers move through, winds will pick up out of the northwest and bring cooler temperatures for tomorrow and the weekend.

Showers will move into our area later this evening and last through much of the nighttime hours. A few showers will still be possible tomorrow morning, but skies should dry out through the day, becoming partly cloudy tomorrow evening.

High temperatures today got close to 70 degrees for some spots in Northeast Michigan, and middle to upper 60s elsewhere. Plenty of sunshine throughout the day helped warm our temperatures, and winds out of the southeast at 10-15 mph also contributed.

Low temperatures tonight will drop to around 40 degrees with a few showers. There is a chance of isolated showers tomorrow morning, otherwise cloudy with temperatures in the middle 40s. Daytime highs will reach the middle 50s with mostly cloudy skies and a noticeable breeze out of the northwest. Cloud cover will decrease tomorrow evening with temperatures close to 40 degrees.

Skies will gradually clear tomorrow, and a cooling trend for daytime high temperatures will begin. Saturday should remain mostly dry, although there is a chance of showers in the evening because of a storm passing to our south. Sunday should turn out mostly sunny with high temperatures in the middle to upper 40s. Temperatures are expected to gradually rebound in the middle of next week.
