ALPENA, Mich. — The Downtown Development Authority held their regular meeting to discuss boundary expansion and the recruiting for open seats on the board. Boundary expansion has been a topic the DDA has been discussing and researching over the past month.
Executive Director, Anne Gentry, explained what needs to be considered before moving forward with the expansion. Gentry said they have a committee made up of a few board members and business owners who are looking into the process for the expansion.
Additional items items discussed were the DDA’s open board seats. Gentry added that they have reached out to downtown business and property owners to see if there is any interest in occupying the available seats.
