Centers for Disease Control issues mandatory mask order
LANSING, Mich. – All travelers are required to wear face masks while on public transportation and at transportation hubs effective Tuesday, Feb. 2. Â The order announced by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) implements President Biden’s Executive Order, which requires the wearing of masks by all travelers on airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis and ride-shares.
The CDC Order is in addition to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services existing epidemic order that requires all transportation providers’ staff and patrons to use face masks, and to enforce social distancing among all patrons to the extent feasible.
