Bingo begins Thursday June 11th at VFW post 2496

ALPENA, Mich –Great news for bingo lovers as the popular game is back in Alpena with social distancing modifications.

Prior to COVID–19 restrictions, bingo lovers have met at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars building for years to play the game.

Excited about reopening, Chairperson, Tammy Doffek explained that her primary focus is on social distancing.

Doffek has already begun spacing apart chairs and placing tape on the floor indicating proper distancing.

She said she wants to error on the side of caution for social distancing and wants help from the participants in doing so.

Doffek  also said in place of their normally served cooked food, they will have candy, chips, and sodas until things are back to normal.
