APS signs deal with new superintendent

ALPENA, Mich. — The APS Board of Education held their regular meeting on Monday highlighting the hiring of Superintendent David E. Rabbideau.

Rabbideau received the news of his new position while on the board meeting Zoom call with his wife and children.

The contract between APS and Mr. Rabbideau calls for  a base annual salary of $135,000 with additional compensation for mileage and other expenses.

Rabbideau said he hopes to hand each of his children their high school diploma at graduation.

Rabbideau will begin his duties on Monday, September 28, and will collaborate with Interim Superintendent, Susan Wooden, for his first couple of days.
