APS Board of Education announces new appointment

ALPENA, Mich. — The Alpena Public Schools Board of Education held a special meeting Thursday, Jan 21 to interview potential candidates for an available board vacancy.  The board interviewed Anna Meinhardt, Amy Ward, and Tim Allen.

The board asked each applicant a series of questions such as what qualifications and skills they bring and how they can contribute to a successful meeting.

The board appointed Anna Meinhardt to the vacant trustee seat which leaves two years remaining on what was a four–year term.
