Afternoon showers Tuesday not amounting to much; Briefly warmer Wednesday

Thick cloud cover and a light breeze out of the east limited high temperatures to the mid-70s earlier today. Temperatures will warm slightly tomorrow and Wednesday.

A weak disturbance will promote a few patchy showers tomorrow afternoon. Other than the possibility of a few showers tomorrow afternoon, brighter weather will move over Northeast Michigan, especially on Wednesday.

Tomorrow will start with mostly cloudy skies in the morning and temperatures in the middle to upper 60s. A couple of patchy showers are possible in the afternoon as high temperatures near the 80 degree mark. By the evening, temperatures will cool to the lower 70s under partly cloudy skies.

The chance of rain is on the low end tomorrow afternoon. Then, Tuesday night and Wednesday mostly clear skies are forecast over Northeast Michigan. The chance of rain will begin to increase Wednesday night and reach its highest levels Thursday morning-midday.

Bright weather is forecast on Wednesday with early-morning low temperatures in the upper 50s and highs warming to around 85 degrees in the afternoon. The warmth on Wednesday will be short-lived because of a cold front entering Northern Michigan early Thursday. Thursday’s cold front will spread showers over the area during the first half of the day, then cooler temperatures will follow. Mainly dry weather is expected on Friday, though it will feel cool in the morning with lows around 53 degrees, and high temperatures will warm into the 70s.
