A fugitive to be extradited back to Alcona County
ALPENA, Mich. — A man on the run from authorities will be extradited back to Alcona County after he faces new charges committed in Arkansas.
52 year old John Clifford Tesmer was arrested last Thursday and is currently lodged in Baxter County.
Tesmer was out on bond in Alcona County when he failed to appear in court back in October of 2017. The fugitive was facing prison time for larceny charges and receiving and concealing stolen property worth over a thousand dollars.
The Alcona County Sheriff’s Office has worked closely with the Michigan State Police fugitive team since 2017 for the arrest of the 52 year old man. Tesmer will be extradited back to Alcona County once he’s sentenced for new charges in Arkansas.
