A fresher feel for the next few days with cooler temperatures and low humidity

High temperatures today reached 83 degrees in Alpena, 80 degrees in Cheboygan and 82 degrees in Traverse City, although it felt a whole lot less humid than over the weekend. Temperatures will become slightly cooler for the next few days. Winds will be coming from the northwest on Wednesday and from the north on Thursday, bringing in cooler temperatures.

Highs will be around 81 degrees Tuesday afternoon. Then highs will be in the upper 70s Wednesday-Thursday. Friday, highs will reach about 80 degrees. Warmer temperatures are expected Saturday with highs near 84 degrees.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds. Predawn lows will be in the upper 50s. Late-morning temperatures will rise to the lower 70s. Afternoon highs will reach about 81 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the middle 70s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Early-morning temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Temperatures will get close to 70 degrees at 10 a.m. Afternoon highs will be near 79 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will cool to the lower 70s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a cool morning. Predawn lows will be in the middle 50s. Late-morning temperatures will be in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs will be around 78 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the lower 70s.
