2021 Polar Plunge going virtual
MT. PLEASANT, Mich. —The Michigan Law Enforcement Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Michigan announced that their event will be virtual this upcoming season.
Registration is open for the plunge, and those willing to register can at PlungeMI.com. Those who register can then raise money or simply donate to Special Olympics Michigan. Everyone who raises at least $100 will receive a 2021 Polar Plunge T-shirt.
The concept of the challenge is the same; find a cold day, and some cold water, and get a little wet. The only difference is the source of the water- rather than an event being held where everyone lines up, donates, and jumps in, the way the challenge is completed is completely up to the individual.
In 2020, the Polar Plunge raised $1.37 million for Special Olympians nationwide.
