17-Year-Old to be Charged as an Adult After Making a Threat at Local High School

WBKB News now has more updates on a threat that occurred last week. 17-Year-Old Alyssia Hancock of Spruce will be charged as an adult after making a threat at Alcona High School on March 26th.

The Alcona County Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police Alpena Post discovered a written threat inside of the girls’ bathroom.

The 17–year–old’s hand written threat revealed that she wanted to ‘shoot the school up.’ Hancock has been arraigned in the 81st district court and remains in Alcona County jail.

The 17–year–old has been charged with false report or threat of terrorism and malicious destruction of a building. Hancock’s bond is set at $750,000.
