Art Vision Finally Coming to Life
The idea started back in 1974 but never was brought to life until now. It’s finally happening the art vision for the Alpena bi–path is currently picking up speed.
Last week stones for phase 2 arrived at ACC and now phase 3 will be starting thanks to an endowment fund, the community, and one local couple, August and Peggy Matuzak.
Owner of a local art gallery in Alpena, Matuzak said he and his wife wanted to continue to bring more tourist to town and create more activities for families to enjoy.
Phase 3 will include a timeline of proposed sculptures that will include 12 pieces in the time span from 2019 until the year 2030. If you would like to donate to phase 3 you can visit the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan or contact them at 989–354–6881.
