A West Branch man has been arrested, allegedly for being in possession of about 93 grams of methamphetamine.
Michigan State Police started looking for 47–year–old Harold Lee Phillips after he dropped off a woman from Marquette at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena. She said Phillips had assaulted her, had bruising on her face and looked to be under the influence.
After reviewing camera footage, police were able to identify and find Phillips’ vehicle and make a traffic stop. Being on parole, he was subject to search and police found a hypodermic needle in the center console and about 93 grams of methamphetamine in two separate bags.
Phillips was arrested and lodged in the Alpena County Jail and held on a $150,000 cash surety bond. His next court date is July 20.
