University of Michigan Gymnastics Coach Fired for Involvement in MSU’s Nassar Case

Ann Arbor- The University of Michigan Athletic Department terminated one of its newest coaches after word of her association with former MSU gymnastics coach Larry Nassar surfaced.

Rhonda Faehn was fired from her position as a coaching consultant after being hired last Thursday. News of Faehn’s hire was not released until Saturday, and immediately sparked outrage from regents, university alumni and survivors of Nassar’s sexual abuse.

The former Vice President of USA Gymnastics is believed to be among the first officials informed of Nassar’s abuse, but did not report it to police.
