Two posen students are receiving scholarships from a nationwide pool of 74 students through Holcim’s Gygi and Von Wiess Foundation.
Madison Kamyszek and Ethan Purol will receive $6,000 for the 2023–2024 school year with the potential to continue receiving the scholarship for the following three years depending on their academic performance. They’re two of eight of out of the 74 to receive the scholarship.
Both of their fathers work at the LaFarge plant in Alpena, a member of the Holcim family.
Purol will attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology and major in aerospace engineering. Kamyszek will head to Ferris State University where she will study mechanical engineering.
