Township Board of Trustees welcomes help from third party
ALPENA, Mich. – Alpena Township Board of Trustees welcome the help of an experienced tourists to assist with the fire departments restructuring.
The board and member of the tasks force spoke with Ryno Shoultzz, a native of South Africa.
Scholtz and his family are in the Alpena area for a sabbatical.
He said after seeing the news about the fire department, he felt he could lend his experience to help the community.
“I come from a background of nonprofit organizational development,” said Scholtz. “I have over 15 years’ experience working in large nonprofit organizations. I also have some academic background as to the subject. I just finished my master’s degree in industrial organizational psychology.”
The tasks force said so far meetings regarding the fire department have been positive.
The board expressed their gratitude to Scholtz as h is willing to assist the board for free.
