Top scams of 2021
ALPENA, Mich.–The better business bureau recently released a list of top scams for 2021.
According to the BBB the third most popular scam in Michigan is a pet scam where hopefuls send money online to secure a pet.
They later find there is no pet for purchase and their money is gone.
Coming in at number two is phishing scams geared toward obtaining personal information like social security numbers and credit card numbers.
The number one scam of 2021 is unemployment fraud.
