It was another exciting week of high school football in Northeast Michigan.

The Alpena Wildcats (1-3) fell to Cadillac 46-14. They return home this week as they take on Petoskey in their Big North Conference opener on Friday September 23.

The Alcona Tigers (4-0) took down the Hillman Tigers (1-3), 50-14. Alcona has now scored at least 48 points in all four of their games this season. Collin Walker led the way running for 183 yards. Quarterback Garrett Somers added 133 yards on the ground himself in the win. Alcona takes on Charleton Heston, while Hillman takes on Au-Gres Sims in week 5.

The best game of the week belonged to Rogers City (4-0) and Atlanta (1-3). The Hurons survived the upset as Quarterback Spencer Whitford scored the game winning touchdown with 7 seconds remaining as the Hurons won 28-26. Isaac Paull scored twice for the Hurons. The combination of quarterback TJ Currie and wide our Landon Galea connected for two passing touchdowns for the Huskies. Rogers City takes on Hale and Atlanta takes on Whittemore-Prescott in week 5.

In other NSL action, Au-Gres Sims (3-1) took down Whittemore-Prescott, 56-8. Mio (3-1) took down Hale (0-4), 60-10. Posen (3-1) defeated Charleton Heston (0-4), 55-0.
