POSEN,MI- With only 17 players in the program, the Posen Vikings often face the challenges of facing bigger schools. So far in 2022, the Vikings have defied those odds. After winning their first two games, the Vikings are your WBKB team of the week.

Coming off a win against Hillman (1-1), the Vikings find themselves at 2-0 and are facing off against the Rogers City Hurons (2-0), in their home opener Friday.

Rogers City has 12 seniors on the varsity team, almost as many as Posen has total players in the program.  That however, has not kept the Vikings from expecting to win.

They have averaged 41 points a game on offense, led by RB Cole Krajniak. The defense has only averaged 12 points allowed per game and dealt with a physical Hillman squad last week.

“It was a physical game and it is a game that makes both teams better”, said Posen Head Coach Greg Pietsch.

The Vikings and the Hurons square off this Friday, September 9. As two of the three unbeaten teams in the NSL, this is the game that will have everyone’s attention.
