Tawas tops Hillman in extra innings
Hillman, Mich. — The Hillman Tigers hosted the Tawas Braves for what was supposed to be a doubleheader on Thursday, but rainy conditions canceled game two. The Braves took the early 2-0 lead, but then both defenses and pitchers stepped up. Hillman pitcher Bailey Schook threw 13 strikeouts eight innings for a complete game.
The Tigers would get on the board in the fifth inning when Brooke Jones hit a grounder to right. Schook would score, and Alison Samp would get tagged at the plate. Hillman would tie things up at 2-2 through the sixth, sending this one to extras. The Braves took over in the eighth inning scoring four runs and Tawas would go on to win 9-3.

Hillman will play again at home on Friday against Rudyard.
