Sunrise Suds Tap Takeover October 2 in Downtown Alpena
ALPENA, Mich. – The Alpena City Council approved the return of a popular festival next month.
Sunrise Suds Tap Takeover will return October 2,2021 in Downtown Alpena.
The festival is Northeast Michigan’s first and only craft brewery beer event.
The festival features a variety of craft beers and live music.
Mayor Matt Waligora said the event is pretty much the city’s final event to say goodbye to summer.
“It’s the idea to bring foot traffic downtown, and this year in particular I think that people that haven’t been downtown that may come down for that event will see a lot of new stores and a lot of new faces in the downtown area so it’s two–fold,” said Waligora.
People can stop by the festival at the closed stretch of second avenue between Chisholm street and River Street.
The event takes place from 2 p.m. until midnight.
