‘Stuff a Blue Goose’ Collects Toys and Food for the Needy This Holiday Season

The Michigan State Police had a major turn out with people ‘ Stuffing a Blue for families in need.

There were over five police cars collecting toys and non-perishable food items Saturday at Neiman’s family market.

All of the toys collected will be sent to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 583 to help families in need in Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency and Presque Isle counties for the holidays.

Sergeant Rich Tucker said ‘Stuffing a Blue Goose’ is the perfect way to have a positive impact.

“It’s a great feeling to get out in the public and be able to give back a little bit.

So many times our contact with the public is in a negative way and this is a positive way that we can give back to the public and those families that are in need,” Tucker said.

Food items will be donated to the Salvation Army of Alpena.

If you were unable to make a donation but would like to still donate, stop by the Michigan State Police Alpena post located at 3283 West Washington Avenue.
