Alpena, Mich. — Resident on the Sunrise Side now have more opportunities to experience art.

Wednesday marks the opening of ‘Art Around Town’ and a new, high school art exhibit at the Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan. Find work from Alpena Public School students at over 50 different locations in the area.

The new gallery exhibit entitled, “Continuum of Creativity” features work from Alpena High School students. The students have been working hard all semester on their pieces.

Art instructor Kyle Kieliszewski will also be featuring some of his artwork to show how his style translates to the student’s work. For the AHS students, it’s a tremendous experience.

“To talk about it and to walk students through the process is one thing, but then to be actually able to take their creations and to go into a gallery, and they see their work is up on the wall, and furthermore, it’s in a museum, it has a whole different weight to it,” said Alpena High School art instructor Kyle Kieliszewski.

There are 98 pieces at the Besser Museum gallery. That exhibit will run all summer. ‘Art Around Town’ runs up until may 29th.
