Street closure and water shut off
ALPENA, Mich. — On Tuesday, October 20, streets will be closed at First Avenue from Wisner Street to Blair Street including the intersection.
Water will also be shut off to replace a valve.
Both the closure and water shut down will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and residents are encouraged to anticipate water needs before the shut off.
Once water is restored, refrain from drinking, doing laundry, washing dishes or food preparation until water runs clear.
Residents may receive a boil water notice until two bacteria samples have been approved which will take at least two days.
unless weather or construction delays occur, the closure is expected to last one day.
