Seniors Celebrate Thanksgiving Early with a Hot Meal

For this week’s Senior Living segment we give thanks with an early Thanksgiving meal.

Today was a day of thanks, Thanksgiving dinner that is.

The Seniors Citizen’s Center provided a delicious thanksgiving meal one week before thanksgiving. Public relations manager, Tracy Niedzwiecki said it’s important for seniors to have a place to go, for the holidays.

Seniors can feel stress around this time of year, but hopefully a meal can help. Kitchen manager, Reid Krebs said it’s important to not only serve a good meal, but a healthy one as well.

There were over 30 turkeys and 30 desserts donated to the center this year to help feed seniors.

If you were unable to attend today’s meal, there will be over 120 thanksgiving meals provided for seniors who are homebound, and who are participants in the meals on wheels program.
