Risk of thunderstorms Saturday

Cloud cover is increasing over Northeast Michigan this evening. A storm system north of Lake Superior will drop southward. This will increase the chances of thunderstorms for our area on Saturday.

Futurecast shows rain and thunderstorms moving in from the north, beginning Saturday morning. On/off chances of rain/thunderstorms will continue through Saturday afternoon. Then we’ll see dry weather Saturday night. Sunday morning-midday, there could be a spotty shower but overall it’s looking drier.

Saturday: Scattered thunderstorms. Early-morning lows will be close to 51 degrees. Highs will get up to about 75 degrees. Evening temperatures will cool to the 60s.

Sunday: Spotty shower possible morning-midday, just a few drops. Early-morning lows will drop off to around 56 degrees. It’ll feel cooler in the afternoon with highs near 71 degrees. Evening temperatures will go into the 60s.

Monday: Partly cloudy. Early-morning temperatures will head down to about 54 degrees. Afternoon highs will reach close to 74 degrees. Evening temperatures will head into the 60s.
