Posen’s Makayla Kamyszek commits to Alpena Community College for Basketball and Softball

ALPENA, MI – Makayla Kamyszek was one of the top players for the Posen girls basketball team this year. She was named 1st Team All-Conference for the North Star League Little Dipper division this year. She also received Michigan all-state honors for girls basketball.

Even as she gets underway at Posen for the softball season, she has already officially committed to Alpena Community College next year. Makayla is set to graduate from Posen in the spring and will be going to ACC to not only pursue a nursing degree, but continue her athletic career in both basketball and softball. For the girls basketball team, Makayla will be joining Allie Urlaub from Alpena who also committed to ACC for next year.

As a Posen Viking, Makayla accomplished a lot in her four years, including being a part of four straight Little Dipper titles for the girls basketball team. After officially signing, she talked about her decision to pursue both basketball and softball in college, and her memories she made at Posen High School.
