POSEN, MI – After ending last year with a 1-8 record, the Posen Vikings have certainly changed up their game plan this season resulting in a 7-2 record and playoff appearance.
As they continue their preparation for their upcoming game against the 9-0 Marion Eagles, the Vikings are up for the challenge. Senior OL/DL, Lucas Mercier, has experienced it all during his time as a Viking. “We knew we were going to be a lot better,” he said. “It’s a nice change of pace honestly.”
With such a drastic change from last season, many wonder how the Vikings managed to turn last year’s losing record into a playoff appearance. “Everybody on the team put in so much work all season,” he said. “Just taking responsibility for everything that we do.”
The Vikings face the Marion Eagles in the first round of the MHSAA playoffs which take place on Friday at 7 p.m.
