Owls fly past Tigers for second win of the season

Alcona — The Oscoda Owls are now (2-1) after topping the Alcona Tigers 55-8. Brayden Mallak covered a lot of ground in the first half for the Owls.

Alcona’s rushing leaders were Mason Clark who contributed 13 carries for 55 yards and Ethan Long who carried 10 times for 53 yards. Zach Stephenson was 5 for 9 for 48 yards passing.

The Tigers’ defensive effort was led by Mason Clark who had 11 tackles and Damion Stewart took down 8. Jacob Sytek added an interception.

Tigers will be at home next week vs Sault St. Marie for a double header and the Owls host Mio Friday, September 14th at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, Oscoda will honor their sports hall of fame inductees.
