Over 300 Seniors Come Out to the Medigap Vendor Fair
The Senior Citizens Center was a full house earlier today with concerned seniors attending the Medigap Vendor Fair.
Over 300 seniors shopped around for new health care plans, meeting with over 13 vendors who provide insurance.
Today’s fair was set up so that seniors could relieve some stress from facing plan issues.
The vendor fair also informed seniors about changes in their Blue Cross, Blue Shield Legacy Plan policy.
PR manager Tracy Niedzwiecki said it’s important to know your coverage and if you have Medigap insurance to save you in case of a health crisis.
“It’s important for seniors to have maybe a Medigap because what it covers what Medicare doesn’t cover… The Medigap will pick it up. If Medicare covers 20% they find someone to cover the additional 20%. Life if Medicare covers 80% whatever they had done, this will pick up the gap that wasn’t covered through Medicare,” Niedzwiecki said.
If you couldn’t make today’s fair, and would like to learn more about the vendors and their insurance plans, Niedzwiecki said you can contact the senior citizens center at 989–356–3585.
