One injured in plane crash in Mio

OSCODA, Mich. – A Lewiston man suffered only slight injuries when his plane went down in a wooded area of Oscoda Township Monday.
The sheriff’s office said the 68-year-old pilot had just taken off from Dennis Kaufman Airport when the single engine aircraft lost power.
Sheriff Kevin Grace said his office received a 911 call from the pilot around 2 p.m.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation by the FAA.
