Northeast Michigan Human Resources Association & Alpena Chamber of Commerce Host 2017 Supervisor Training & Labor Law Seminar

Northeast Michigan Human Resources Association and The Alpena Chamber of Commerce hosted their 2017 Supervisor Training and Labor Law Seminar.

The Alpena Aplex was a full house Wednesday, as managers and supervisors learned more about human resource skills while listening to guest speaker Elizabeth Peters of Masud Labor Law Group.

President of Northeast Michigan Human Resources Association, Cindy Besaw said sessions like todays are important to help managers become more aware of issues in the work place.

“It’s important for employment laws to keep liability down for employers. It’s important to train your supervisors so that they know what’s legal and illegal in the workplace,” Besaw said.
