Monday’s with the Mayor — Alpena City Council seat vacancy

ALPENA, Mich. – The deadline is approaching for Alpena residents to have a chance to sit on the city council.

WBKB’S Tiffany Maddox spoke with Mayor Matt Waligora about the recent resignation of council member Amber Hess and the seat that’s now open.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and have lived in the city for a year.

The deadline to submit applications to the clerk’s office is 4 p.m. on Wednesday September 1.
