ALPENA, MI. – Michigan State Police posts are searching for quality cadet candidates. There are currently 6 spots available among the various posts in Northern Michigan.
Cadet are responsible for working alongside law enforcement officers and completing administrative duties like answering phones and filing reports.
“We’re looking for people who want to serve their community and are interested in a career in law enforcement. We want them to have a strong character and values. This is all about community transparency and helping others in the communities where we live.” said Lt. Derrick Carroll from MSP
MSP ran into challenges hiring cadets due to the need for relocation. But, they have made changes for an easier hiring process.
Applicants can select where they’d like to accept employment before the deadline on April 20th.
