Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel joins the fight for women’s reproductive rights

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is joining the fight to protect women’s reproductive rights.
Nessel joined a coalition of 21 attorney generals in filing a brief supporting Mississippi’s only abortion clinic in a case against the state department of health. The case will fight a law that prohibits doctors from performing abortions after 15 weeks or pregnancy.
The attorneys feel the law infringes on women’s right to terminate a pregnancy before viability. Nessel says she will not stand by while states revert back to times where women were forced to resort to back–alley abortions for fear of prosecution.
