Marceau and Meinhardt Each Record Hat Trick in Wildcat Win

ALPENA, MI- The train just keeps on rolling for Alpena Hockey. After their most impressive weekend of the season the Wildcats returned home to a capacity crowd at Northern Lights Arena and rolled to a 8-0 victory over Big North Conference rival Petoskey.

Senior Captain Anden Marceau led the way as he recorded his third hat trick of the season. The senior also added two assists giving him five points on the night. Sophomore Reid Meinhardt recorded his second hat trick of the season in the victory.

Alpena scored twice in the first , each by Marceau. They would score six times in the second period. Ending the game after just two frames via the mercy rule.

The win streak now runs to 11 for the Wildcats, who now sit at #5 in the Michigan State Hockey Rankings. They have not lost since December 9, and have yet to lose a game with Marceau in the lineup.

Alongside his line mates that each netted hat tricks, Harisson Kaszubowski scored his 19th goal of the season and added four assists. Jaden Marchlewski scored his 8th goal of the season. Aidan Schultz recorded his fourth shutout of the season.

Alpena now stands at 15-1-1 and will be right back at it on Saturday as they face Petoskey once again, this time on the road.
